Tell us about yourself:
I’ve been lucky enough to work in the only industry I’ve ever wanted to be in: journalism. I started out in sports journalism, working at both The Star-Ledger (where I worked my way up to sports editor) and Yahoo! Sports (where I was an assistant managing editor). I switched over to business journalism, working first as editor at NJBiz before helping to launch ROI-NJ.

Tell us about your publication:
We not only want to be the go-to source for business news (who’s hiring/firing, moving in/moving out), we want to serve as a connector for the business community with various networking/award events as well as panel discussions and roundtables.

What makes you get up and go to work every day?
I love being a journalist. I’ve loved every day of my work experience.

What are you most passionate about when it comes to journalism?
Getting information out not only through easy-to-understand facts but by humanizing the subject(s) with great story-telling – and occasional humor.

Why do you think business coverage is important for New Jersey residents, and what makes your approach unique or different?
It is important for the New Jersey business community to understand what others are doing right and wrong. The level of success of the business community ultimately determines the success of the state.
