Tell us about yourself:
I’ve been News Director here at SNJ Today for nearly 2 and half years now. Prior to that I was News Director at Atlantic City’s NBC 40 before it shut down. I love South Jersey, the interesting people and telling their stories. I’ve never been a “if it bleeds, it leads” type of person. I want to know what is affecting the lives of those in south jersey and I want to know about the everyday people that are working to make the area better. That’s why I love working at SNJ Today so much. I’m consider myself a very lucky mom and wife. I have two crazy, fun, kids (my oldest just turned 13 – I have a teenager!) who keep me super busy outside of work.

Tell us about your publication:
SNJ Today is a southern New Jersey news and information source that is dedicated to providing current stories related specifically to South Jersey. We have a nightly TV newscast with coverage of the six southernmost counties of the state. We also cover those counties digitally and we have a weekly newspaper, cable channel, and FM radio station that cover Cumberland County specifically.

What makes you get up and go to work every day?
Not only do I love telling positive stories of those in south jersey who are making a difference, I also really love the people I work with. We have a great group of supportive team members who all work together. It’s a great and innovative environment where new ideas are shared frequently and I love to learn from the people I work with.

What are you most passionate about when it comes to journalism?
The truth. I mean now more than ever, right?

What is something most people don’t know about South Jersey, but should?
There is so much to do! There are so many events, festivals, activities to keep you busy every night of the week. There are wineries, breweries, theaters…just a whole lot going on.
